Beauty Blogger Makeup Swap + First Impressions!

Beauty Blogger Makeup Swap + First Impressions!

Hey babes! I was contacted by Mary of Pretty on a Dime a few months ago and asked if I wanted to participate in a blogger makeup swap. It was basically a Secret Santa for beauty bloggers. Y’all probably already know I’m a huge makeup addict! Lol. I love shopping for other people and I think it’s so fun to receive a surprise package in the mail so I had to join!

I received my goodies from Jess of Just Me Growing Up! She’s a mom, wife, and student from Seattle, Washington. She says she’s learning to adult one mistake at a time. I think that is such a cool way to look at it! I’m definitely going to be binging on her posts this weekend! Lol. Jess sent me a few elf products which worked out great because I was wanting to try out their products again! I’ve been slowly getting back into drugstore makeup. Lol. She got me 3 lipsticks, a blush/bronzer compact, highlighter duo, & mascara. I’ll be trying the mascara next so look out for a Mascara Monday post within the next month or so! I’ve tried everything else once so keep reading for my first impressions!

Elf Prismatic Highlighting Duo in Mermaid Tail | I’m back into loving highlighters so I was so excited to try this! This would have been the duo I picked! The peachy shade doesn’t really show up on my skin but it’s probably partly because I’m so pale. I really like the purple shade though! It’s purple without looking too crazy.

Elf Moisturizing Lipsticks in Pink Minx, Ravishing Rose, & Bordeaux Beauty | The two darker shades were super creamy! I can’t wait to wear them especially the Bordeaux shade! I’ve been all about that type of shade lately!

Elf Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in St. Lucia Swatches

Elf Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in St. Lucia | I’ve actually had this once or twice throughout the years but it’s been awhile. I need to play around with the bronzer more but I liked it on the first try. I love that it’s not too orange and I think it’ll work as a contour shade on me. The blush is the perfect peachy shade! I’ve really been liking more natural blush shades lately.

You can check out what the other ladies got here! I had so much fun with this swap! Have you ever participated in a makeup swap? What’s your favorite Elf product? I hope y’all have a great Easter!

xoxo, Am ♥
